Anapa is a Simpson 48 built in 1989 out of epoxy/glass and red cedar strip planking at DUBOIS in Netherland for a German Owner.
I bought the boat 10 years ago, made a bigger refit and took all interior out, changed the layout and made it new with less weight. Roof, cockpit, front and stern were changed and I took the problematic daggerboards out and installed mini keels and modern rudders.
The boat is lighter, faster and stronger than original with beefed up chain plates, rigging and hardware and different crossbeam. Simple electric system combined with solar and watermaker makes it the perfect ocean greyhound for off grid living.
The boat weights only 10,5 tons and is able to go downhill in over 20 knots of speed in a safe manner. Last year we arrived in Thailand after crossing the Pacific from the Caribbean in less than 6 months of cruising.

- The boat got a general overhaul and changes over the last 9 years and is presenting more like a new build than a 1989 boat.
